Field Guide | Luxury Safari Lodge | Touws River Touws River, Western Cape Live-In Position Salary: Negotiable (DOE) Kendrick Recruitment is currently seeking a passionate and experienced Field Guide for a luxury safari lodge based in Touws River. This is an exciting opportunity for a nature-driven individual who is dedicated to delivering exceptional guest safari experiences in a high-end wilderness environment.
The successful candidate will be responsible for leading guided game drives, interpreting wildlife and ecosystems, and ensuring guests receive a safe, informative, and unforgettable safari experience.
Key Responsibilities
Conduct guided game drives and bush walks (where applicable) Deliver engaging and informative wildlife interpretation and guest experiences Ensure guest safety and adherence to all conservation protocols Maintain safari vehicles, equipment, and operational readiness Share knowledge of fauna, flora, and ecosystems with guests Provide exceptional guest interaction and personalised safari experiences Assist with lodge operations when required Requirements: FGASA qualification (or equivalent) essential Valid PDP and driver’s licence First Aid certification Strong communication and guest engagement skills Passion for conservation, wildlife, and hospitality Ability to work flexible hours, including early mornings and evenings Previous guiding experience in a luxury lodge environment advantageous Ideal Candidate: Confident, knowledgeable, and professional in the field Strong storyteller with excellent guest engagement ability Calm, safety-conscious, and reliable under pressure Passionate about conservation and delivering world-class safari experiences This is a fantastic opportunity to join a luxury safari environment where guest experience and conservation go hand in hand.
