The Rides Lead will assist in the supervision of the Rides Hosts working throughout the amusement park. This position directly supports the Rides Manager with efficient operation of the department which provides a positive guest experience. This position requires strong leadership skills to answer questions and help coach and train other Ride Operators and Attendants for the operating season.

This position will also conduct daily audits to ensure sure the park’s safety and operating policies are being properly followed. We are currently looking for a: Adventureland Park

  • Rides Lead Roles & Responsibilities: S upervi s ory Dutie s : A s s i s t with the daily s upervi s ion of the Ride s tea m and any other a s s igned department s Lead by example, attitude, and a s a repre s entation of Adven t urelan d ’ s core value s Act a s an approachable mentor and coach to all a s s igned Ho s t s Become knowledgeable of performing the e s s ential dutie s of all ride s po s ition s and backfill the s e po s ition s when needed Participate in new-hire orientation and training activities for all assigned Host s En s ure that all required meal and other break s are being given in accordance with Iowa law A s s i s t with tea m s cheduling and timekeeping activitie s if needed Departmental Dutie s : En s ure a s mooth and continuou s operation of all a s s igned ride s and attraction s Provide s direct s upport to other ride s Ho s t s by making round s throughout the park to check on their need s Provide coverage s o that Ho s t s may take bathroom break s Maintain a va s t knowledge of all ride s in the park and can jump in to a s s i s t or operate , when nece s s ary Over s ee s gue s t feedback and e s calate s complaint s or i s s ue s to the proper authoritie s , when appropriate Enforce Park policie s , ride re s triction s and ride recommendation s En s ure s afe operation of the ride by alway s adhering to s tandard operating procedu re s and e s tabli s hed training s Report ride s - related i s s ue s and failu re s to Park Leader s hip and Maintenance tea m s in a prompt manner Maintain con s tant vigilance to proactively identify potential hazard s and inform s park leader s hip of any concern s Protect gue s t belonging s , turn s in lo s t and found item s a s s oon a s time allow s Promptly notif y the s ecurity tea m or the park operator of Ho s t and gue s t injurie s or emergencie s All other dutie s a s s igned by l eader s hip Education & Experience : There i s no minimum education requirement. 1+ s ea s on of work experience in the Ride s Department i s required . Previou s ride operation experience from other Amu s ement/Theme Park emp l o y e r s will al s o be con s idered. All Ride s Ho s t s mu s t go through the International Ride Operator Certification ( iROC ) cour s e a s a part of the training. S ucce s s ful cour s e completion i s required for thi s po s ition.
