Job description
Our client is seeking an experienced and driven Sales Manager to lead business development activities, grow key customer accounts, and expand market share within a technical manufacturing environment. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing sales strategies, driving revenue growth, identifying new opportunities, and providing technical sales support to customers across various industries.
Responsibilities
Develop and implement sales strategies to achieve monthly, quarterly, and annual revenue targets. Build, manage, and maintain a strong sales pipeline through proactive business development activities. Identify and secure new business opportunities within existing and emerging markets. Maintain and grow relationships with key customers, ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction.
Understand customer requirements and provide appropriate technical solutions and product recommendations. Conduct product presentations, technical discussions, and commercial negotiations with customers. Provide ongoing product support and after-sales service to ensure customer retention and long-term partnerships. Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and customer needs to identify opportunities for growth.
Work closely with production, engineering, and manufacturing teams to ensure customer requirements are met. Maintain accurate CRM records, sales forecasts, and management reports. Conduct regular customer visits, site inspections, and follow-up meetings. Assist in identifying and developing new product opportunities based on market demand and customer feedback.
Requirements
Grade 12. Diploma or Degree in Sales, Marketing, Engineering, Business Management, or a related field will be advantageous. Minimum of 5 years' experience in a Technical Sales, Business Development, or Sales Management role. Strong technical aptitude with the ability to understand and communicate product specifications and solutions. Experience within a manufacturing, engineering, industrial, technical, or related environment will be advantageous. Valid Drivers License.
