Job description
Job Overview: The Piledriverman will operate pile-driving equipment to drive pilings, such as those made of concrete, wood, or steel, into the ground for building foundations and other structures. This role is crucial for ensuring the stability and integrity of large-scale construction projects.
Job Responsibilities

Operate pile drivers and related equipment, including hammers, cranes, and leads, safely and efficiently. * Interpret blueprints, schematics, and construction plans to determine pile locations and depths. * Inspect pile-driving equipment for proper functioning and perform routine maintenance and repairs. * Guide pilings into position and signal crane operators during the driving process.

Monitor pile-driving operations to ensure compliance with project specifications and safety regulations. * Measure and cut piles to specified lengths using power saws and other tools. * Assist with the setup and dismantling of pile-driving equipment on job sites. * Work collaboratively with other construction team members, including supervisors, engineers, and laborers.

Adhere to all company safety policies and procedures, as well as OSHA regulations. * Maintain a clean and organized work area. Job Qualifications:** * High school diploma or equivalent. * Proven experience as a Piledriverman or in a similar heavy equipment operation role. * Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.

Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and construction drawings. * Strong understanding of pile-driving techniques, equipment, and safety protocols. * Physical stamina and strength to perform manual labor, including lifting heavy objects and working in various weather conditions. * Excellent hand-eye coordination and spatial awareness.

Ability to work effectively in a team environment and communicate clearly. * Willingness to work overtime, weekends, and holidays as required by project schedules. * OSHA 10 or 30 certification preferred. Heavy Civil is comprised of six operating units that include North Louisiana Operations, South Louisiana Operations, Texas Operations, HMA Paving Operations, Concrete Paving Operations, and the Infrastructure Rehabilitation Unit.
