Driller (dual rotary / foundation / water wells) – Caribbean
Job description
We are looking for an experienced Driller to support drilling activities on island-based infrastructure, resort, and water supply projects. The role centers on operating Dual Rotary (DR) rigs for installing large-diameter casings and wells through unconsolidated soils and into limestone formations.
Key Responsibilities
Operate Dual Rotary drilling rigs for foundation piles, caissons, and water wells. Manage casing advancement and drilling simultaneously to ensure borehole stability in shallow soils and fractured rock. Supervise a small drilling crew and ensure adherence to local safety and environmental requirements. Conduct daily inspections and preventive maintenance of drilling equipment.
Maintain accurate records of drilling activities, materials used, and ground conditions encountered. Coordinate logistics for equipment and materials on island projects.
Requirements
Demonstrated experience in Dual Rotary or large-diameter rotary drilling, preferably in coastal or island environments. Familiarity with limestone formations, shallow soils, and high water-table conditions. Ability to work in remote or small-team settings with limited supply-chain support. Good mechanical and troubleshooting skills.
