Key job responsibilities
Understand applicable process technology, equipment and analytical equipment. Works with plant personnel to meet/exceed business and plant specific goals (safety, quality, reliability, cost, etc) Implement and initiates change of specific EHS and operating discipline, and ensure relevant document are valid, standardized, and up to date.
Understands and applies Statistical Process Control (SPC) skills and knowledge of analytical methods, analytical investigation skills accountable for the manufacturing quality performance of responsible products Assists troubleshooting of manufacturing processes and/or equipment and analytical equipment, leads root cause investigation (RCI) and corrective/preventive actions implementation Be part of plant specific teams and work processes and contribute to the plant’s organizational and cultural change efforts.
Network with other engineers and experts globally to leverage knowledge and best practices on plant operations. As required, assist communication and training of technical information and issues to QC personnel. Requirement: Bachelor’s degree of Science or Engineering, chemical or analytical background Knowledge of chemical analysis e.
g. HPLC, GC, UV-Vis, Moisture Analyzer, Viscometer, and etc Fluent Japanese skills. Basic English skills in writing and motivation to develop the communication skills Strong collaboration and leadership skills in multi-discipline and/or cross-geographic team Self-motivated and eager to learn new knowledge and skills Open minded, embrace change Preferred Qualifications: 3 years of experience in chemical analysis Problem solving and continuous improvement skill and experience, like Six Sigma, RCI, Lean, etc Working experience in a manufacturing site, specialty chemical industry Familiarity with statistical and analytical method like SPC Familiarity with ISO9001, ISO14001, IATF16949 Familiarity with semiconductor industry, Process Safety and/or project management process Join our Talent Community to stay connected with us!
