Senior Data Engineer/ Data Scientist – Self-Driving

We are seeking a highly skilled Experts, Seniors, Engineers to join our self-driving team. In this role, you will design, develop, and deploy advanced algorithms that enable autonomous vehicles to accurately sense, interpret, and interact with the world around them. You will work on cutting-edge challenges in 3D object and occupancy detection, tracking, sensor fusion, scene understanding, and foundation models for self-driving, with direct impact on the safety and performance of our autonomous systems.

This is an opportunity to contribute at the intersection of deep learning, computer vision, robotics, and system engineering, while collaborating with a world-class team of researchers and engineers. Design and implement data lakes as a flexible and scalable storage of sensor data Build scalable pipelines for indexing raw and extracted sensor data Develop searchable databases for efficient information retrieval Implement robust ETL pipelines to extract, transform, and load data into a structured data warehouse Establish automated systems for data validation and quality assurance for large multi-modal datasets Build tools for indexing and version control of extracted sensor data Integrate labeling workflows into a data loop (semi-automatic, active learning, crowdsourcing etc.)

Collaborate with algorithm and software engineering teams to ensure data integrity, traceability, and reproducibility Requirements MSc/BSc degree with 3+ years of industrial experience in Computer Science, Machine Learning, Robotics and/or similar technical field Proficiency in Python and strong software engineering skills Comfortable in building data processing pipelines tailored for ML training pipelines Knowledge of (at least one) of the Parquet, Pandas, Spark frameworks Solid understanding of the main sensor modalities for self-driving (cameras, LiDAR, radar, GPS) Experience with establishing dataset version control Familiarity with cloud job orchestration, monitoring, and instrumentation best-practices Ability to solve hard problems and handle large amounts of heterogeneous data Nice-to-Have: Prior experience in self-driving or ADAS development and familiarity with functional safety standards (ISO 26262, SOTIF) Benefits Competitive salary Premium healthcare package, including PVI insurance & annual health check-ups 13th-month salary & performance bonuses to reward your contributions Enjoy preferential pricing for services within the Vingroup ecosystem including Vinmec, Vinpearl, and Vinschool...
