Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Demonstrated expertise in responsible sourcing and ESG due diligence aligned with international frameworks, including: OECD Due Diligence Guidelines for Responsible Mineral Supply Chains UN Guiding Principles on Business and Human Rights ASM Sustainability Framework LBMA Responsible Gold Guidance IFC Performance Standards ILO Core Labor Standards In-depth expertise in the dynamics, challenges, and opportunities related to artisanal and small-scale mining (ASM), with a specific focus on mining cooperatives in Bolivia Comprehensive knowledge of Bolivia’s mining regulations and institutional framework, with a particular focus on health, safety, and environmental compliance requirements Proven track record in developing organizational ESG capabilities and implementing performance improvement programs Strong relationship-building skills across diverse stakeholders, from mining communities to corporate executives Ability to influence decision-making and drive positive change both internally and with external partners Self-motivated professional who works effectively independently and contributes in cross-functional teams Strong analytical capabilities with experience translating complex ESG data into clear, actionable insights Willingness to conduct extensive field work in mining regions, with up to 50%travel.
Outstanding communication skills with ability to present complex information clearly to diverse audiences Fluency in English and Spanish required.
Key Responsibilities
Conduct thorough supplier assessments, maintaining comprehensive documentation of performance and improvements actions. Engage with suppliers of minerals, metals and bulk commodities through assessments, monitoring of action plans, and delivering capacity building activities. Track key performance indicators to track and measure the effectiveness of responsible sourcing initiatives in Bolivia, prepare detailed reports and analytics for management and customer review.
Support broader responsible sourcing initiatives across Latin America by providing expertise in due diligence processes and supplier assessments throughout the region Contribute substantively to external ESG reporting, ensuring compliance with evolving regulatory requirements and alignment with commercial commitments Serve as an ambassador for Trafigura's Responsible Sourcing Programme, effectively communicating its value and objectives to diverse internal and external stakeholders Continuously identify, evaluate and integrate emerging best practices to enhance program impact and maintain Trafigura's leadership in responsible sourcing
