Job description

We are currently seeking a qualified candidate for the role of full-time Mechanical/Materials Engineering to join our team. This position involves ensuring code compliance for welding fabrications (ASME, CSA, API, ISO), performing R&D on new welding processes, and managing tooling and fixture design. The hours will typically be in the office Monday to Friday, 8:30 am to 5:00 pm.

Up to %50 travel time may be required for this position to destinations both domestic and international. Base salary: $64,000 - $75,000 / year Location: 45 Innovation Dr, Hamilton, ON L9H 7L8 Date Posted: December 22, 2025 Typical Duties Include (but are not limited to): Ensure welding fabrications are in compliance with standard welding engineering practices and applicable ASME, CSA, API and ISO codes and customer specifications Responsible for tooling and fixture design work Prepare fabrication drawings and weld maps Perform research and development on new welding processes and techniques Provide technical expertise and welding solutions for various applications Collaborate with Customer, vendors and project team to ensure implementation of code compliance of welding procedures and practices Oversee progress to ensure execution is performed according to the welding qualification plan and code compliance Assisting with various projects as requested Key Skill Requirements: Strong verbal and written communication skills High attention to detail Ability to handle multiple tasks Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate effectively across teams Key Experience/Education: University Degree in mechanical engineering or metallurgical engineering is required Experience with CAD required Please include an unofficial transcript with your application.
