Associate Software Engineer - Full Stack

Start Your Career in Global Aviation Technology A global leader in logistics is expanding its Aviation IT team and looking for a Software Engineer to help build and modernize systems supporting international air transportation operations. This is an excellent opportunity for a developer with a strong Java foundation who wants to grow in a complex enterprise environment.

The role is primarily backend-focused (around 70% backend, 30% frontend). You'll work on applications that connect airline systems with global logistics platforms, helping ensure millions of shipments reach their destinations efficiently. You'll join a newly expanding Prague-based team working closely with experienced engineers across Europe and Asia.

What You'll Be Doing Develop and maintain Java applications supporting aviation operations Enhance and modernize existing enterprise systems Support the migration from legacy applications to microservices-based solutions Build and maintain REST APIs and backend services Participate in code reviews and testing activities Collaborate with senior engineers and architects on technical solutions Work with databases and integration technologies Contribute to CI/CD and software quality initiatives Learn modern engineering practices in a global environment Requirements Commercial experience with Java development Understanding of object-oriented programming principles Basic knowledge of SQL and REST APIs Experience with Git and Maven Interest in backend development and software architecture Willingness to learn modern technologies and engineering practices Strong problem-solving mindset Good English communication skills Java 8+, Spring Boot, Java EE, Microservices, OOP, Hibernate/JPA, JDBC, REST APIs, Cloud-Native Development, JSP, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, MS SQL, Oracle, JSON, XML, Maven, Git, CI/CD (Bamboo), TDD, Jasper Reports, i.
