Job Description: Essential Requirements Experience: At least 3 years of experience in a research and development (R&D) or food manufacturing environment, with proven experience in leading innovation or product development projects.

Education

A Bachelor's degree (BSc) in Food Science, Food Technology, Engineering, Chemistry, or an equivalent scientific field. Technical Knowledge: Strong understanding of pet food nutrition, manufacturing processes, and the functionality of raw materials. Language: Proficiency in English (both written and spoken) is mandatory.

Nice-to-haves: A Master's degree (MSc) in a related field. Project management certification or experience (e.g., Green Belt). Experience with recipe optimization software.

Key Responsibilities

You will be accountable for leading and delivering medium to large-scale projects from the innovation pipeline, which includes developing new products and renovating existing ones to meet strategic business needs. Lead Formulation and Raw materials development activities: strategy development and support of recipes preparation and raw materials development.

Ensuring compliance with requirements of MQM, MRA requirements. Product Design and Implementation: You will create and manage product designs, recipes, and specifications, ensuring all products meet critical targets for nutrition, palatability, quality, and cost. This includes planning and executing trials from the pilot stage to full factory production.

Product Portfolio Management: Act as the technical leader for your assigned product portfolio, ensuring consistent product performance. You will drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance product quality, reduce costs, and resolve any non-conformance issues in collaboration with Quality & Food Safety (Q&FS) teams.

Cross-Functional Collaboration: Serve as a key R&D contact, working closely with Marketing, Supply, Commercial, and other internal teams to successfully implement new products. You will also provide technical expertise and communicate project progress to all relevant stakeholders. What can you expect from Mars?
