Positioned within a prestigious boutique commercial litigation practice in Somerset West, this central role is critical for driving precision, document execution, and high-level administrative support for the founding partner. Operating in an environment with a workload, pressure, and flow akin to working with senior advocates, the successful candidate will provide comprehensive assistance on complex High Court litigation and commercial matters.

Key Responsibilities
High-Precision Transcription: Transcribe and format complex audio dictations efficiently, maintaining an absolute commitment to linguistic accuracy and exact specifications. Litigation Management: Prepare, format, and finalise legal documents, including intricate pleadings and notices, ensuring absolute adherence to High Court rules and legal processes.
Executive PA Support: Provide proactive, comprehensive personal assistant support to the founding partner, managing calendar commitments, travel logistics, and high-priority correspondence. Stakeholder Liaison: Act as the primary, professional interface between the partner, clients, and senior legal stakeholders, managing all communication with absolute discretion and diplomacy.
File & Information Governance: Maintain impeccable physical and electronic case files, tracking strict litigation deadlines and protecting highly sensitive legal data.
Requirements
5+ years of dedicated experience as a litigation or legal secretary within a reputable law firm environment. Prior experience specifically supporting senior advocates or high-profile litigation partners would be beneficial. Dictation Mastery: Proven track record of fast, high-accuracy dictation typing (minimum typing speed of 60–70 words per minute required).
Litigation Expertise: Substantial, verifiable experience handling commercial litigation cases and preparing High Court legal documents. Language Proficiency: First-language (mother-tongue) English proficiency with excellent written and verbal command, structural editing, and proofreading capabilities. Ability to speak and understand the German language would be beneficial.
