Position Summary
The Manufacturing Project Manager will facilitate the execution of projects to meet cost and timing objectives. Must be willing and able to work in an environment exposed to elements that can include but are not limited to coolant, dust, mist, elevated noise and uncontrolled temperatures.
Accountabilities: Track and provide project status updates, highlighting progress and identifying barriers while maintaining comprehensive project documentation. Work with managers, vendors and key cross-functional stakeholders to ensure proper communication and resource coordination. Address issues in a timely and proactive manner.
Facilitate discussions on project scenarios and options, putting together cost-justification/ROI and timing. Initiate and coordinate major projects. Maintain the integrity and accuracy of project information to meet team and management requirements. Monitor project progress: track action items, collaborate and coordinate requirements with interested departments and suppliers, create and own project timeline and budget.
Obtain input from subject matter experts, examine and recommend changes to current practices and develop & write proposals. Provide clear and timely communication with managers, suppliers and key stakeholders. Provide project status reports by collecting, analyzing and summarizing data and trends.
Qualifications
3+ years' experience in project management, preferably in a manufacturing operation. 3+ years' people leadership experience preferred. Critical thinking/Problem solving/Analysis skills. Detail oriented. Excellent interpersonal skills, including clear and timely communication. Excellent leadership skills. Self-motivated.
Ability to foster important relationships with managers, suppliers and key stakeholders. Ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams. Bachelor Degree in Business Management or Engineering (Manufacturing, Industrial or related).
