Job Title: Petrol Station Card Handler – Business Oriented Employment Terms: Contract (6months) Location: Nairobi JOB PURPOSE Our client, a leading company in the petroleum, oil, and gas sector, is seeking Petrol Station Card Handlers to manage and oversee fuel card transactions at their stations. This role is key to ensuring accurate, secure, and efficient handling of fuel cards, supporting smooth station operations and excellent customer service.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Manage daily fuel card and loyalty card transactions in line with company policies
- Support customer onboarding, account activation, and KYC documentation
- Promote fuel card products and loyalty programs to drive station revenue
- Monitor card usage trends and support basic sales performance reporting
- Handle customer inquiries, billing issues, and account reconciliations
- Maintain accurate records and prepare routine operational and business reports
- Coordinate with head office on card sales, compliance, and customer feedback Requirements QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Commerce, Accounting, Finance, International Business, Marketing, or related business field
- Minimum 6 months’ relevant experience in fuel cards, loyalty programs, sales support, banking, or customer service
- Strong business acumen with good numerical and reporting skills
- Proficiency in MS Excel and basic CRM systems
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and customer-handling skills SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES Clear verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to explain card processes, system usage, and policies to non-technical users. Proven ability to identify issues in transactions or systems, investigate root causes, and implement timely, accurate solutions. Demonstrated discipline in following card system procedures, KYC requirements, and internal controls to ensure compliance and data integrity. Strong capability to engage customers professionally, resolve card-related issues, and maintain positive working relationships with station teams and head office. Ability to interpret transaction data, identify discrepancies, and prepare accurate operational and business reports to support decision-making.
