Job description

Performs tasks related to the installation of underground and overhead electrical systems underthe field supervision of a 1st Class Lineperson or Line Foreperson.

Key Responsibilities

Complete required apprentice coursework. Install overhead distribution support systems and aerial wire systems. Assist with substation installations. Install underground raceway and wire systems. Set up line equipment and perform medium/high voltage terminations. Safeguard and maintain equipment, tools, materials, and vehicles. Follow all safety and work policies.

Requirements

Education

& Skills High school diploma or equivalent. Enrollment in an approved Apprenticeship Training Program. Good mechanical aptitude, strong work ethic, and ability to follow directions. Proficient with laptop/tablet use. Valid CDL license (must maintain good driving record). Reliable transportation to/from work. Must purchase and maintain required personal tools.

Willingness to travel regionally to job sites. Physical 40 hours/week, 8–10 hour shifts. Frequent standing, climbing, kneeling, lifting, and bending. Lift/carry 10–75 lbs. (occasional up to 75 lbs.) Ability to climb up to 70 feet. Adequate vision, balance, and coordination for electrical tasks
