Job description
Job Overview An experienced HSE Officer is required to support daily Health, Safety and Environmental activities across facilities management operations. The successful candidate will conduct inspections, monitor compliance, support incident investigations and promote safe working practices.
Key Responsibilities
Conduct daily site inspections. Perform hazard identification and risk assessments. Monitor Permit-to-Work activities. Ensure PPE compliance. Deliver Toolbox Talks. Conduct HSE inductions. Support emergency response activities. Investigate incidents and near misses. Maintain HSE documentation and records. Monitor contractor compliance.
Report HSE observations and corrective actions. Promote continual improvement in HSE performance.
Minimum Qualifications
Diploma, Certificate or Technical Qualification in: Occupational Health & Safety Environmental Management Engineering Science Related discipline Mandatory Certifications NEBOSH International General Certificate IOSH Managing Safely (or equivalent) Preferred Training First Aid Fire Safety Risk Assessment Toolbox Talk Delivery Work Permit Control Incident Reporting Experience Minimum 3–5 years' relevant HSE experience.
Experience within: Facilities Management Cleaning Services Pest Control Waste Management Maintenance Logistics Warehousing Construction Port Operations Similar operational environments Required Competencies Site HSE Inspections Hazard Identification Permit-to-Work Monitoring Contractor Supervision PPE Compliance Emergency Response Incident & Near-Miss Reporting HSE Documentation Strong communication and teamwork skills
