AP Team Leader – Buying Centre Location: Warsaw, Poland Department: Finance Operations / Accounts Payable Reporting to: Head of Accounts Payable We're looking for an experienced Buying Centre Team Leader to drive operational excellence and lead a high-performing team within our EMEA Shared Services Centre.
In this role, you'll oversee end-to-end buying operations, manage stakeholder relationships across the region, and champion process improvements that enhance efficiency and customer satisfaction. You'll be the go-to leader for your team's development, coaching specialists to deliver exceptional service while ensuring compliance and performance standards are consistently met.

Job Description Summary We're looking for an experienced Buying Centre Manager to lead and elevate our operational team across the EMEA region. In this role, you'll drive excellence in Procure-to-Pay operations, coaching a talented team of specialists while ensuring seamless service delivery to our internal stakeholders and suppliers.
You'll be the go-to leader for complex escalations, process innovation, and strategic improvements that shape how we buy globally. What You'll Do
Lead and develop your team – Coach, mentor, and empower Buying Specialists and Vendor Specialists to excel, setting clear objectives and monitoring performance against KPIs and SLAs Drive operational excellence – Oversee daily Buying Centre operations, ensuring timely query resolution, workload balance, and adherence to internal controls and compliance standards Act as a trusted escalation point – Resolve complex issues, manage stakeholder expectations, and maintain strong relationships with internal customers, procurement teams, and suppliers Champion continuous improvement – Identify and lead initiatives that drive automation, standardisation, and process efficiency across the buying lifecycle Collaborate globally – Partner with regional and global teams to ensure consistent execution, share best practices, and support transformation projects Own reporting and governance – Analyse operational metrics, prepare performance insights, and ensure compliance with audit requirements and governance frameworks Support change and transformation – Contribute to system implementations, tool enhancements, and change management activities that elevate service delivery Foster a customer-centric culture – Build a collaborative, high-performing team environment focused on delivering outstanding service and operational quality What We're Looking For Proven leadership capability with a track record of building, coaching, and developing high-performing operational teams in a shared services or P2P environment Deep operational knowledge of Buying Centre processes, Procure-to-Pay cycles, and supplier management within a global or multi-country setting Strong stakeholder management skills – You build trust easily, communicate with clarity and confidence, and can influence across all levels of the organisation Analytical and data-driven mindset – You turn insights into action, using metrics to drive performance improvements and inform decision-making Process improvement expertise – Experience leading continuous improvement initiatives, ideally with exposure to Lean, Six Sigma, or similar methodologies Tech-savvy and systems proficient – Comfortable working with ERP platforms such as People.
Soft, SAP, or Oracle, and workflow tools like Zendesk or Service.
