We are seeking an experienced Senior Android Software Engineer with strong expertise in Android application development and a passion for system-level software engineering. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with Android Automotive systems, graphic rendering technologies, and native integration through JNI/C++.
Experience in camera-based automotive features such as Surround View Monitoring (SVM) or rendering pipelines is a strong advantage. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to develop and integrate high-performance automotive features, support rendering pipelines, and contribute to cutting-edge in-vehicle software solutions.
This role is ideal for engineers who enjoy working beyond the traditional application layer and are comfortable handling complex technical challenges across Android and native software domains.
Responsibilities
Develop and maintain Android Automotive applications/features Work with JNI/native modules for rendering and performance-related tasks Support OpenGL-based rendering and graphic pipeline integration Debug cross-layer issues between Android app and native layers Support CAN and vehicle signal integration Work closely with vendors and cross-functional teams Requirements 5+ years of experience in Android software development Strong knowledge of: Kotlin/Java Android application architecture Multithreading Performance optimization System debugging and troubleshooting Familiar with: Android Automotive / AAOS CAN communication / vehicle signals JNI integration Native Android development concepts Additional Expectations Willing to work on native/C++ layer when needed Able to read, understand, and debug C++/JNI code Familiar with OpenGL rendering pipeline or graphic-related development Comfortable working beyond normal Android application layer Experience with: C++ JNI OpenGL / EGL / Surface rendering Camera or video rendering pipeline AOSP integration Automotive systems AIDL/Binder IPC Java Socket Benefits Competitive salary Premium healthcare package, including PVI insurance & annual health check-ups 13th-month salary & performance bonuses to reward your contributions Enjoy preferential pricing for services within the Vingroup ecosystem including Vinmec, Vinpearl, and Vinschool...
