What’s The Role? The Senior Virtualization Engineer for Liberty Caribbean is responsible for delivering and maintaining robust, high-availability virtualized compute and storage infrastructure that supports Liberty Caribbean’s business operations and customer-facing services. This regional role plays a key part in architecting and managing enterprise virtualization environments, ensuring scalability, resilience, and performance across all platforms.
The incumbent will lead the design and implementation of VMware-based solutions while also contributing to infrastructure strategy and continuous improvement initiatives.The role requires a strong balance of architectural thinking and hands-on technical execution, working closely with cross-functional engineering teams across applications, data, networks, and IT business continuity.
The Senior Virtualisation Engineer works with other engineering teams and engages with experts across all technology competencies (applications deployment, data management, IT business continuity management, and Enterprise Networks) to provide solutions to Liberty Caribbean and LC customers. Candidates within all Liberty Caribbean operating markets will be considered as this is a regional role.

What You'll Do
Architect, design, install, configure, monitor, and maintain VMware v. Sphere/vSAN cluster environments. Architect, design, install, configure, monitor, and maintain all ESXi host hardware and provide corrective actions to hardware faults. Perform planned maintenance activities/firmware upgrades on an established cycle that mitigates Liberty Caribbean (LC) business risks and vulnerabilities.
Manage and expand compute and storage capacity requirements to support services to Liberty Caribbean (LC) customers. Participates in solutions development in all stages, including planning, design, development, testing, and documentation. Responsible for provisioning, maintaining, managing, and monitoring IBM / Cisco / HPE infrastructure.
Support the deployment of virtual machines (VMs) and templates across the VMware clusters. Support the implementation of hardware support contracts required to ensure availability of infrastructure. Ensure support for all Liberty Caribbean, LC Information Security and IT Compliance controls and policies Contribute to infrastructure strategy and architectural decisions while maintaining strong hands-on involvement in implementation and operations.
What You'll Need
Candidates within all Liberty Caribbean operating markets will be considered as this is a regional role. English fluency or proficiency, both written & spoken, is a requirement in order to be considered for the role. Knowledge & Experience English fluency or professional proficiency, written & spoken, is a must in order to be considered for the role.
Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Computer Information Systems (or equivalent qualification). Relevant training and certification as VMware Certified Professional (VMware Hyper. Converged Infrastructure (vSAN) and VMware Data Center Virtualization) and Networking Minimum of 3 years of practical experience maintaining a VMware v.
Sphere /vSAN cluster environment. Experience with SAN, NAS, iSCSI, Fibre Channel protocol and other storage allocations to ESXi clusters and troubleshooting VMDK in virtual machines Experience with Physical-to-Virtual (P2V), Virtual-to-Virtual (V2V), and Virtual-to-Physical (V2P). Experience in troubleshooting hardware and operating system-related issues.
Experience with Cisco Unified Computing System (UCS). Experience operating in high availability enterprise environments, including cluster design and lifecycle management. Exposure to or experience with software-defined data center architectures and server virtualization strategies. Proven ability to balance strategic architectural input with hands-on technical execution.
Demonstrated leadership capability, accountability, and strong problem-solving aptitude, with the ability to learn and apply new technologies quickly.
