Job description
This is skilled and leader work in tree trimming, pruning, and removal. An employee in this class leads and performs a wide variety of tasks in small crew tree trimming, pruning and removal including operation of light and heavy equipment requiring specialized skill in manipulating controls and attachments. Daily crew assignments are checked while in progress or upon completion by a supervisor.
Work involves responsibility for crew safety and efficiency and requires constant exposure to dangers of height, hazardous equipment, inclement weather, and tree pruning, trimming, and removal techniques.
