Job description

Our client, a leading corporate service provider in Malta, is currently looking for a Senior Compliance Executive to join their team. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated compliance professional to take on a challenging role, working with an international clientele across a wide range of industries, as well as private clients.

This is a hybrid role offering a salary up to €42K + performance bonus. Kindly note that due to the urgency of the role, only candidates who are based in Malta can be considered . Role & Responsibilities Collect, review, and keep CDD documentation up to date, in line with regulatory requirements Carry out client risk assessments at onboarding and on an ongoing basis, including EDD for high-risk clients, and apply internal client acceptance rules in line with the company's risk appetite and risk approach Keep client profiles, risk ratings, and documentation accurate and up to date, including client re-checks in line with quality and risk policies Review sanctions, PEP, and adverse media screenings, look into alerts, and flag potential ML/FT risks Liaise with internal departments on AML/CFT compliance and give guidance where needed Keep accurate client records, both physical and electronic Assist with internal audit steps, processes, and paperwork Assist in the development, review, and delivery of training on AML/CFT policies, procedures, and internal controls Support junior compliance team members as they grow in the role Identify and flag suspicious activity to the MLRO, and assist with compliance projects Ensure the company follows Maltese and EU AML/CFT rules and sanctions requirements Education, Skills & Experience 2+ years' experience in AML/CFT compliance within Malta Previous experience in a CSP or regulated environment is a plus Entry-level AML qualifications and completed training are a plus Solid knowledge of Financial Services regulations, particularly the Maltese CSP regulatory framework, company and trust law, and AML/CFT regulations Familiarity with DD and AML functions and practices Strong English communication skills, both written and verbal Strong risk assessment and problem-solving skills, with the ability to apply regulations in a business context Proficient in MS Excel, Word, and Outlook Able to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines Comfortable working independently and within a team About the Role Salary of up to €42K + performance bonus Hybrid based in Valletta with flexible hours On-the-job training Health insurance Wellness allowance Mobile allowance Ongoing professional development Please apply with your detailed CV in English.
