Job description
The Laborer is responsible for performing a variety of physical tasks to support construction crews, including carpenters, equipment operators, and other trades. This position requires strong work ethic, adaptability, and commitment to safety.
Responsibilities
Perform general site cleanup, debris removal, and material handling. Assist carpenters, form workers, and equipment operators as directed. Load, unload, and distribute construction materials and tools. Excavate, backfill, and compact soil using hand tools and small equipment. Set up and dismantle temporary structures such as barricades, scaffolding, and work platforms.
Operate basic hand and power tools in a safe and efficient manner. Follow all company safety policies and procedures on site. Other duties as assigned by Foreman and Superintendent.
Requirements
Previous construction labor experience preferred, but not required. Ability to perform physically demanding work in varying weather conditions. Willingness to learn new skills and follow instructions.
