Housekeeping Manager | Luxury Wine Estate | Franschhoek, Western Cape Kendrick Recruitment is currently seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Housekeeping Manager for a prestigious luxury wine estate located in Franschhoek. The successful candidate will oversee all housekeeping operations, ensuring that guest accommodation, public areas and back-of-house spaces consistently reflect the quality and luxury associated with the estate. Salary: R26,000 – R29,000 Depending on Experience Position: Live-out Key Responsibilities

• Oversee the daily operations of the housekeeping department and ensure smooth departmental functionality.
• Ensure all guest rooms, suites, public areas and back-of-house spaces are maintained to impeccable luxury standards.
• Lead, train, motivate and supervise the housekeeping team to ensure high levels of performance and productivity.
• Conduct regular room and facility inspections to ensure quality assurance and attention to detail.
• Manage housekeeping schedules, staff rosters, attendance and leave planning.
• Monitor housekeeping inventory, linen control, cleaning supplies and departmental stock levels.
• Ensure efficient stock ordering and cost control within departmental budgets.
• Work closely with Front Office, Maintenance and Food & Beverage departments to ensure seamless guest experiences.
• Handle guest requests and resolve housekeeping-related concerns promptly and professionally.
• Implement and maintain health, safety and hygiene standards in accordance with company policies and industry regulations.
• Develop and maintain housekeeping procedures and standards to drive operational excellence.

Requirements

• Previous experience as a Housekeeping Manager or Senior Housekeeping Supervisor within a luxury hotel, lodge, guesthouse or wine estate environment.
• Strong leadership and people management skills with the ability to inspire and develop a team.
• Exceptional attention to detail and a passion for maintaining world-class standards.
• Excellent organisational and time-management abilities.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Sound knowledge of housekeeping procedures, stock control, inventory management and staff supervision.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced hospitality environment.
• Professional, proactive and solution-driven approach to daily operations.
• Computer literacy and administrative competence.
