Job description

An established automotive organization is seeking an experienced and hands-on Workshop Supervisor to lead daily workshop operations and manage a team of technical professionals. This role is ideal for a strong leader with extensive automotive maintenance and repair experience who can ensure operational excellence, safety compliance, and high-quality service delivery.

Key Responsibilities

Team Leadership Lead, coach, and support a team of technicians and workshop support staff Conduct team meetings and performance discussions Monitor productivity and work quality Communicate operational updates and technical developments Approve leave requests and support workforce planning Foster a positive, safety-focused, and service-oriented work environment Workshop Operations Plan, organize, and coordinate repair and maintenance activities Assign work effectively based on technician expertise and workshop priorities Estimate repair and service times Inspect completed work to ensure quality standards are met Verify work orders and labor hours for invoicing purposes Ensure availability of tools, equipment, and materials Maintain compliance with safety procedures and operational standards Ensure proper intake and vehicle delivery procedures are followed Support customer issue resolution related to vehicle maintenance and repairs Technical Support Perform maintenance and repair work when required Record recurring technical issues and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives Provide recommendations to improve workshop efficiency and service quality Requirements Education & Knowledge Bachelor-level or equivalent experience Strong knowledge of automotive engineering and vehicle maintenance Familiarity with workshop management systems and fleet management tools Knowledge of preventive and predictive maintenance practices Experience working with automated workshop systems is an advantage Experience Minimum 10 years of relevant automotive workshop experience At least 5 years of experience as a senior or first-class technician Minimum 3 years of supervisory or leadership experience within a workshop environment Skills & Competencies Strong leadership and communication skills Excellent organizational and planning abilities Technical troubleshooting expertise Ability to prioritize and manage multiple activities Analytical and solution-oriented mindset Customer-focused and service-driven attitude Flexible, proactive, and resilient under pressure Strong teamwork and motivational skills Proficiency in MS Office applications
