Due to the continuation and development of their organisation, they are now seeking to employ a Purchasing Manager to join their team of highly motivated professionals. About the Position… The position requires an experienced Purchasing Manager to handle the company's procurement activities, along with developing purchasing strategies, maintaining positive relationships with suppliers, coordinating with internal teams, regarding their supply needs and overseeing the purchasing team in their daily activities.

Further responsibilities include: Managing daily purchasing activities and receipting and entering in of all stock. Managing supplier relations and negotiating contracts, prices, timelines, etc. Maintaining the supplier database, purchase records, and related documentation. Coordinating inventory control to determine and manage inventory needs.

Ensuring that all procured items meet the required quality standards and specifications. Assisting in preparing cost estimates and new product codes. Working to improve purchasing systems and processes. The Ideal Candidate… The ideal candidate will have experience as a Purchasing Manager or in a similar position, with familiarity in sourcing and managing vendors, managing and optimising purchasing activities and processes.

You will need to have proven experience in being able to negotiate the best possible deals with suppliers the ability to gather and analyse data and work with figures. Furthermore, the ideal candidate will have: Demonstrating an effective leadership ability. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal. Strong critical thinking and negotiation skills.

Strong planning and organisational skills. Sound judgement and clear decision-making skills. Proficiency in Microsoft Office. Ability to work independently.
