Role Overview We are seeking a Construction Project Manager to oversee high-quality fit-out projects across Africa. This role is critical in ensuring KOFISI’s premium workspaces are delivered on time, within budget and to the highest quality standards. The ideal candidate has 10+ years of experience in construction project management, with extensive focus on commercial / hospitality interior fit-outs from grey box, preferably across multiple African geographies.
The role will manage internal and external project managers, consultants, contractors, and procurement support to ensure seamless execution of build projects. This position reports in to the Director of Programming and is a key bridge between design, procurement, and on-site delivery.
Key Responsibilities
Project Management Lead end-to-end execution of multiple workspace fit-out projects simultaneously. Oversee on-site and contracted project managers to ensure day-to-day progress and coordination. Coordinate site works, monitor construction timelines, and ensure adherence to design, quality, safety, and compliance standards.
Regularly report on project progress across time, cost, and quality metrics. Stakeholder & Consultant Coordination Act as the point of coordination between internal design teams and external consultants (e.g., structural, MEP, lighting, HVAC). Liaise with IT team and systems vendors for workspace infrastructure implementation.
Support investor and stakeholder site visits and ensure project readiness for inspections. Procurement & Financial Oversight Collaborate with Design and Procurement teams to ensure timely sourcing and delivery of long lead materials. Work closely with the Finance team to ensure smooth processing of payments, invoice follow-ups, and accurate cost tracking.
Drive sustainable sourcing with a huge drive in local (in-country) procurement Assist the Head of Programming in maintaining budget discipline and forecasting. Quality & Compliance Enforce quality control protocols to ensure builds meet company standards and local regulations. Monitor compliance with health, safety, and environmental standards, working closely with OSHA Committee and FM team.
Travel & Site Presence Travel extensively across project sites in Africa, with the ability to remain on-site for several weeks or months at a time.

Ready to work on-site in African cities and create amazing workspaces: You're willing to travel and work in various African cities, dedicated to building premium workspaces Requirements Required Qualifications & Experience Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Construction Management, or equivalent.
Certification in Construction Project Management is strongly preferred 10+ years of experience in construction project management, with at least 5 in commercial interior fit-outs Proven experience delivering fit-out projects from grey box to handover Strong project delivery skills including timeline and cost management, contractor oversight, and reporting Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and project tracking tools Fluent in English; French is a plus.
