Job Overview: Job Summary** A Laborer at Primoris Energy Services in Sherman, Texas, performs a variety of manual tasks to support construction and maintenance projects, ensuring safety and efficiency on job sites. Job Responsibilities** * Perform physically demanding tasks, including digging, lifting, carrying materials, and operating basic hand and power tools.

  • Assist skilled tradespeople (e.g., pipefitters, welders, electricians) with their duties, including fetching tools and materials. * Prepare work sites by clearing debris, setting up equipment, and ensuring a safe working environment. * Load and unload construction materials, tools, and equipment from trucks and other vehicles.

  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of job sites, including disposing of waste and debris properly. * Follow all safety procedures, regulations, and company policies, wearing appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) at all times. * Perform flagging duties to direct traffic as needed, ensuring public and worker safety.

  • Operate small equipment such as skid steers, mini excavators, or forklifts, if certified and experienced. * Work effectively as part of a team to complete projects on schedule and to quality standards. * Report any unsafe conditions or incidents to supervisors immediately. Job Qualifications** * Ability to perform physically demanding tasks for extended periods, including lifting up to 50 pounds, bending, stooping, and standing.

  • Willingness to work outdoors in various weather conditions, including extreme heat or cold. * Basic understanding of construction site safety practices and procedures. * Ability to follow verbal and written instructions effectively. * Strong work ethic and reliability. * Valid driver's license and reliable transportation preferred.

  • Previous experience in a construction or manual labor role is a plus. * Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug screen and background check. * High school diploma or GED preferred.
