Job Title: Locum
- Nurse Tenure: Full Time Reporting to: Programme Coordinator/ RCO Department: Health Care Location: Nairobi -Thika Road PROFILE SUMMARY The successful candidate will deliver high-quality patient care through professional and compassionate nursing services, in line with established standards for a Registered Nursing Officer. This is an exciting opportunity offering structured 8-hour shifts at a competitive rate of KES 1,500 per shift. Key areas of Responsibility
- Maintain the highest possible standard of client care by adhering to the Clinics standard treatment protocols and guidelines.
- Ensure an outstanding client experience through effective triage and monitoring and evaluation of patients admitted in the hospital.
- Administer medication and perform medical procedures within prevailing healthcare guidelines and protocols.
- Follow through investigations and procedures ordered by Doctors/Clinical Officers.
- Run other clinics as assigned by Daktari Africa and Stratostaff Ltd, if any.
- Provide comprehensive client counselling e.g., reproductive health, HIV, vaccination, pap smear and cancer screening amongst other services.
- Ensure outstanding maintenance and availability of medical equipment in the clinic.
- Professionally and timely prepare and present regular nursing reports.
- Assist in the formulation, review and implementation of relevant policies and procedures e.g., Infection prevention.
- Adequately prepare and participate in health talks, presentations, Continuous Medical Education (CME) events etc.
- Participate in clinical audits and stock count.
- Support any other duties assigned in the clinic Requirements MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
- BSc N, KRCHN or KRN KRM
- At least three (3) years relevant work experience in General Nursing (Outpatient Department, Medical, Surgical or Pediatrics Wards) in a busy hospital.
- Must be registered by the Nursing Council of Kenya.
- Valid Nursing Practice License.
- Proficiency in MS Office Suite (Excel, Word and PowerPoint). COMPETENCIES REQUIRED:
