Job description
The Maintenance Technician is responsible for ensuring the efficient operation, maintenance, and repair of machinery, equipment, and facility systems within the garment manufacturing facility. The role performs preventive and corrective maintenance to minimize downtime, maintain operational efficiency, and ensure compliance with safety and quality standards.
The Maintenance Technician supports production by maintaining a safe, reliable, and well-functioning work environment. Company: Namaa Arabia for Garments Co. Ltd. Location: Jeddah, Saudi Arabia. Technical Requirements & Responsibilities The ideal candidate must possess strong hands-on experience in the following areas: Mechanical and electrical maintenance, including fault diagnosis and troubleshooting.
Performing preventive, corrective, and emergency maintenance for machinery, production equipment, and facility systems. Machine and production line adjustment, alignment, calibration, and commissioning. Plumbing works, including the installation, repair, and maintenance of pipes, valves, fittings, and water systems. Welding and basic fabrication activities required for equipment repair and maintenance.
Painting and finishing works related to facility upkeep and equipment maintenance. Safe and effective use of hand tools, power tools, measuring instruments, and maintenance equipment. The successful candidate will also be responsible for: Diagnosing equipment failures promptly and implementing effective repair solutions to minimize production downtime.
Reading and interpreting mechanical and electrical drawings, schematics, and technical manuals. Conducting routine inspections to ensure machinery and equipment operate safely, efficiently, and reliably. Replacing defective components, testing repaired equipment, and verifying optimal machine performance before returning it to operation.
Maintaining accurate maintenance records, work orders, inspection reports, and service logs. Coordinating with production and operations teams to ensure uninterrupted manufacturing activities. Ensuring full compliance with company policies, occupational health and safety regulations, and environmental standards. Maintaining a clean, organized, and safe workshop and work environment in accordance with housekeeping standards.
Supporting continuous improvement initiatives to enhance equipment reliability, operational efficiency, and preventive maintenance practices.
