About the Role

As an Admissions Walk-In Counselor at Lower Parel (West), Mumbai, you will be the first point of contact for students and parents visiting the IIDE campus. You will play a pivotal role in welcoming, guiding, and counseling prospective students while helping them understand IIDE’s programs, career opportunities, admission requirements, and learning pathways.

This role involves managing walk-in inquiries, conducting academic counseling sessions, assessing students’ educational backgrounds and career aspirations, and recommending suitable programs. You will also support students and parents throughout the admission journey while ensuring a positive and engaging campus experience.

What You'll Do

● Student & Parent Counseling ○ Welcome and assist walk-in students and parents visiting the campus. ○ Conduct detailed counseling sessions regarding IIDE’s programs, curriculum, certifications, career outcomes, placements, and student experience. ○ Understand students’ educational backgrounds, interests, strengths, and career goals.

○ Recommend suitable courses and learning pathways based on individual aspirations. ○ Address admission, academic, and career-related queries from students and parents. ● Academic Counseling & Guidance ○ Guide students in selecting the most appropriate program based on their academic profile and career objectives. ○ Explain course structures, specializations, certifications, learning outcomes, and progression opportunities.

○ Help students understand career prospects and industry opportunities associated with different programs. ○ Provide personalized guidance to support informed educational and career decisions. ○ Assist students in understanding eligibility requirements and admission criteria. ● Campus Visit Management ○ Coordinate and manage daily walk-ins and scheduled campus visits.

○ Conduct campus tours and provide an overview of facilities, classrooms, student life, and learning experiences. ○ Ensure every visitor receives a professional and engaging campus experience. ○ Maintain visitor records and follow-up requirements. ● Admissions Support ○ Guide prospective students through the admission and enrollment process.

○ Assist with applications, document collection, interviews, and admission formalities. ○ Coordinate with internal teams to ensure smooth admissions processing. ○ Support students and parents during fee payment and enrollment procedures. ● Follow-Up & Relationship Management ○ Follow up with walk-in visitors and prospective students after counseling sessions.

○ Build strong relationships with students and parents throughout the admissions journey. ○ Maintain regular communication to answer questions and support decision-making. ○ Encourage referrals and student advocacy opportunities. ● CRM & Record Management ○ Maintain accurate records of inquiries, counseling sessions, campus visits, and admissions activities in CRM systems.

○ Track student interactions and ensure timely follow-ups. ○ Generate reports on counseling activities, admissions progress, and conversions. ● Additional Duties ○ Support admission events, open houses, seminars, workshops, and student engagement initiatives. ○ Collaborate with academic, student support, and admissions teams.

○ Perform any other reasonable duties as requested by management, aligned with the broad scope of the position.

Who You Are

● Must-Have ○ 3–8 years of experience in academic counseling, admissions counseling, student counseling, education consulting, or related student-facing roles. ○ Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills. ○ Ability to confidently interact with students, parents, and stakeholders. ○ Strong counseling, listening, and relationship-building abilities.

○ Professional, empathetic, and student-centric approach. ● Should Have ○ Experience in the education, edtech, higher education, training, or career counseling industry. ○ Understanding of student counseling and admissions processes. ○ Familiarity with CRM systems and student lifecycle management. ○ Strong follow-up and organizational skills.

● Nice to Have ○ Experience counseling students for undergraduate, postgraduate, or professional certification programs. ○ Knowledge of digital marketing, business, AI, or related career pathways. ○ Experience handling campus visits, education fairs, or admission events.
