Coordinator for Deaf Ministry (EX)

The Coordinator for Deaf Ministry, based at St. Ignatius Catholic Church in Ijamsville, Maryland, is responsible for supporting a thriving Deaf Catholic community within the Archdiocese of Baltimore, primarily at St. Ignatius, while also evangelizing Deaf individuals who are not yet active members of the Church. The Coordinator serves as the lay pastoral leader of the Deaf Catholic community in Ijamsville, inspiring parishioners to participate fully in parish life and fostering self-sustaining ministries, evangelization initiatives, and faith formation programs.

In addition, the Coordinator is responsible for providing American Sign Language (ASL) interpretation for the Deaf Ministry Chaplain during liturgies, sacramental celebrations, meetings, and other events.
