Job description
**Who we are **
Pronto AI is a global leader in commercializing autonomous vehicle (AV) technology, deploying Autonomous Haulage Systems (AHS) that automate operations in mines, quarries, and construction sites worldwide. While much of the industry remains in R&D, we deliver real, production-ready autonomy that is already operating in the field.
We are on a mission to make mining operations safer, smarter, and more efficient through cutting-edge technology, and we are building toward becoming the world’s first profitable AV technology company.
What you’ll do
- Remotely support deployment of Pronto's autonomous haulage system (AHS) across multiple mine sites, tracking truck bring-up, rover installation, and system commissioning progress
- Track and document site-level issues (equipment faults, comms failures, installation delays) reported by on-site teams, and escalate blockers to the Field Operations Manager and engineering teams
- Coordinate logistics remotely with customer site teams, including permitting, work authorizations, and equipment/route readiness, via calls, Slack, and shared trackers
- Monitor production and administrative delays against project milestones, maintaining structured trackers for visibility across distributed stakeholders
- Support customer training sessions on Pronto technology remotely, and assist with handover documentation to the mine's operations team
- Serve as a remote point of contact for routine operational questions, keeping Pronto HQ informed through regular status updates
- Help monitor safety compliance and site-specific protocols by coordinating with on-site personnel, flagging gaps for follow-up
- Travel short-term to customer sites as needed when issues require hands-on troubleshooting or in-person coordination
What we’re looking for
- 3–7 years of experience in a mining, heavy equipment, or industrial field operations environment
- Comfortable operating remotely on active mine site projects, understanding production and safety-critical environments without needing daily physical presence
- Prior exposure to technology rollouts (autonomy, remote operations, telematics, or machine control systems) is a strong plus
- Strong organizational skills, with the ability to track multiple open issues across sites and time zones and communicate status clearly
- Comfortable working async and coordinating across time zones with international customer sites
- Willingness to travel short-term (days to a couple weeks) when a site requires in-person troubleshooting
- Clear verbal and written communication skills for coordinating across customer and internal teams without in-person contact
- Degree in Mining Engineering, a related technical field, or equivalent hands-on industry experience preferred
Why join us
- Work on real, production-deployed autonomy.
- Build technology that directly improves safety, efficiency, and productivity.
- Tackle complex challenges in demanding, real-world environments.
- Be part of a fast-moving team with high ownership and impact.
- See your work deployed and making a difference in the field.
- Collaborate closely with experienced engineers and industry operators.
What else you need to know
This is a remote role. As a company driven by innovation and continuous change, close collaboration is essential. We’re constantly reimagining our industry, creating new products, and refining our processes, and we do our best work together.
