This is a pivotal role based on the beautiful Sunshine Coast, where you will play a lead part in securing and delivering major civil infrastructure projects that shape the region.

The Role As a Civil Estimator, you will spearhead tender preparation and pre-contract activities across a diverse portfolio of civil construction projects. You will collaborate closely with engineers, project managers, and external partners to ensure every submission is accurate, competitive, and commercially robust.

Key Responsibilities

Lead Tendering: Manage the full lifecycle of tender preparation and pre-contract estimating. Technical Analysis: Deep-dive into drawings, specifications, and construction methodologies. Strategic Input: Develop innovative project delivery strategies and value-engineering options to give your team the edge. Procurement: Liaise with subcontractors and suppliers to negotiate and secure competitive pricing.

Documentation: Prepare detailed cost estimates, programs, and comprehensive tender documentation. Risk Management: Rigorously assess contractual, technical, and commercial risks. Growth Support: Contribute to business development initiatives and overarching tender strategies.

About You

You are a seasoned professional with a proven track record in civil infrastructure. You thrive under the pressure of tight deadlines and possess the technical authority to influence project outcomes.

Requirements

Experience: Significant background in civil construction estimating Technical Knowledge: A strong understanding of TMR specifications and large-scale infrastructure projects.

Qualifications

A Tertiary Civil qualification is highly preferred. Methodology: Proven ability to develop and articulate complex project delivery methodologies. Software Savvy: Advanced proficiency in Excel and Microsoft Project. Communication: Exceptional written and verbal communication skills with the ability to interpret complex contracts.
