Strategic Information System Officer

Summary: The Strategic Information Officer is responsible for overseeing data systems, monitoring program performance, and ensuring the availability of high-quality, timely information to support evidence-based decision-making. This role is pivotal in strengthening program accountability, enhancing operational effectiveness, and demonstrating measurable impact through robust data management and analysis.

The officer will lead the development and implementation of monitoring, evaluation, and reporting frameworks, ensuring alignment with organizational and donor requirements. By driving data quality, capacity building, and performance reporting, the Strategic Information Officer enables continuous improvement and informed strategic planning across programs.

Responsibilities

Develop and implement comprehensive monitoring, evaluation, and reporting frameworks Manage routine data collection tools, databases, and data systems Conduct data quality assessments (DQAs) and provide supportive supervision to field teams Analyze performance data and produce actionable dashboards, reports, and presentations Ensure accurate and timely submission of donor and internal reports Support target setting, forecasting, and performance review processes Deliver training and technical support to program staff on data management and reporting tools
