G ENERAL P URPOSE OF J OB : The Staff RN is a professional care giver who assumes responsibility and accountability for a select group of patients/families for a designated time frame and provides care to these patients during admission, Phase 1 and Phase 2 anesthesia up to and including transfer/discharge.

E DUCATION AND / OR E XPERIENCE : Graduate from an accredited school of professional nursing. BSN preferred Current RN License in the state of Texas Bilingual preferred Pediatric experience required Critical Care experience preferred C ERTIFICATES , L ICENSES , R EGISTRATIONS .
- Current licensure in the state of Texas
- CPR Certification
- Must test for a unit specific certification (Certified Post Anesthesia Nurse
- CPAN, Certified Ambulatory Per anesthesia Nurse –CAPA) upon qualification to sit for exam
- Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS)
- Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS)
- Phase I Recovery Staff.
