Key Responsibilities
- Financial & Accounting Operations Oversee the full spectrum of accounting functions (GL, AP, AR, fixed assets, month-end and year-end closing) Ensure accurate and timely preparation of management accounts and financial reports Maintain proper accounting records in compliance with internal policies and applicable accounting standards
- Project & Cost Management (Construction / Property Development) Monitor project costing, budget utilization, and work-in-progress (WIP) accounting Conduct variance analysis between budget vs actual project performance Support project teams in financial tracking and cost control measures
- Budgeting, Forecasting & Reporting Lead annual budgeting and periodic forecasting processes Prepare management reports, financial analysis, and performance insights for decision-making Highlight key financial risks and opportunities to management
- Cash Flow & Treasury Management Manage cash flow planning to ensure sufficient liquidity for project operations Monitor collections, payments, and funding requirements for ongoing developments
- Compliance & Internal Control Ensure compliance with internal control policies and procedures Coordinate with auditors, tax agents, and external stakeholders for audit and statutory requirements
- Leadership & Stakeholder Management Supervise and guide the Finance & Accounts team to ensure efficient daily operations Work closely with project, procurement, and operations teams Liaise with bankers, auditors, and other external parties Requirements Recognised Degree/Diploma in Accounting & Finance, or professional qualification (ACCA / MACPA / CIMA or equivalent) Minimum 5–8 years’ relevant experience in finance and accounting At least 3 years in a managerial role, handling full spectrum finance/accounting functions Experience in property development / construction accounting is highly preferred Strong knowledge of budgeting, cost control, and project financial analysis Mandarin proficiency is preferred to communicate with Mandarin-speaking stakeholders
