Traffic Engineering Technician - G117 Engineering

This position is responsible for performing technical duties in the design, maintenance, and management of city roadways. Conduct field studies to determine traffic volume, speed, effectiveness of signals, adequacy of lighting, and other factors influencing traffic conditions, under the direction of a traffic engineer.

Investigate, collect, process, and analyze data of traffic and safety inquiries from the public, city officials, and state agencies. Review traffic control plans in order to issue permits for special events and for utility and construction work that affects the street network, providing assistance with plan preparation or revision as necessary.
