** Position Summary **
Summary: The Child & Fam Life Specialist implements a psychosocial program that fosters positive emotional, social, developmental and physical growth in children in the hospital environment and outpatient settings. They orient hospital staff to the psychosocial needs of children and families and fosters positive hospital experiences.

Responsibilities
Education Required • Must complete in-house orientation program • Bachelor’s degree in Child Life, Child Development, or related field; Master’s degree preferred • Completion of 600 hour internship
Experience And Skills • Excellent interpersonal skills • Speaks, reads and writes English • Basic Word, Excel, Power Point, Internet, Outlook, and telephone systems. • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
License/Certifications •Child life Certification must be obtained from the Association of Child Life Professionals.
