Mō te tūranga | About the role We’re looking for an experienced Class 5 Truck Driver to join our Timaru team. This is a hands-on role where you’ll support transport work across Timaru and the wider region, working with a crew that backs each other, gets stuck in, and takes pride in doing good work. You’ll be trusted to operate safely, think on your feet, and pitch in as an all-rounder when needed.
If you like variety, low ego teams, and work that keeps communities moving, this could be your place Ngā kawenga matua | Key responsibilities Drive and operate Class 5 trucks and machinery safely and professionally. Support transport activities across Timaru and the wider South Canterbury region. Keep trucks and equipment in good condition and stay on top of basic maintenance checks.
Make sure vehicles remain compliant with transport requirements including RUC, COF and registration. Work alongside the wider crew to get the job done right, safely, and on time. Kei te kimi mātou i tētahi e whai ana i ēnei pūkenga | We’re looking for someone with A full Class 5 licence, ideally with WTR endorsements.
Proven heavy vehicle driving experience, with construction industry experience a bonus. A flexible, team-first attitude and willingness to take on a range of day-to-day tasks. A strong focus on safety, reliability, and doing the job properly. Good communication skills, solid time management, and a positive approach to work.
