technology . Currently, around 4,000 employees are working at CARIAD on the digital transformation of the car. CARIAD is working intensively on the software and technology platform for Premium Platform Electric (PPE). The first vehicles based on PPE will be the electric Porsche Macan and Audi Q6 e-tron. At the core of CARIAD is the development of the unified and scalable software and technology platform E³ 2.

The new software and technology platform is built from scratch and will be used first at the end of 2024 in Artemis, the lighthouse project of Audi. About our Group CARIAD COE (Centre of Excellence) is setup in Bangalore, India working exclusively with CARIAD and associated VW groups with the focus on development of ‘VW.OS”. The areas of work involve development of platform components such as firmware, boot loaders, AUTOSAR, Linux/QNX BSP, Service oriented architecture-based middleware components.

Job Description: Role Overview Develop and maintain Signal Communication Interface (SCI) stack in automotive QM-level systems. Focus on creating performant, robust, and well-tested software components for Adaptive AUTOSAR environments using modern C++ standards with emphasis on quality and reliability.

Key Responsibilities

Design and implement networking software with focus on sockets (UDP and TCP) and inter-process communication (UDS and shared memory) Write comprehensive unit tests achieving SOP level decision coverage using Google Test framework Measure, develop, and improve algorithms and code structures for automotive systems Create clean, maintainable interfaces for shared components across the SCI stack Maintain technical documentation and code specifications Participate in peer reviews ensuring coding standards and quality practices Troubleshoot issues in multi-threaded, networked automotive systems using Wire.

Shark and logs Technical Expertise Proficient in C++14/17 with STL and templates CMake, Conan (1 & 2) package management, Docker containerization Google Test/Mock, code coverage analysis (line, branch, decision coverage) TCP/UDP sockets, IPv4/IPv6, multicast, network interface management, inter process communication (UDS & Shared Memory) Multi-threading, async programming, promise/future patterns RAII, smart pointers, proper resource management Linux systems, POSIX APIs, system programming Competencies & Skills Development in Adaptive AUTOSAR environment according to ASPICE development practices GCC/Clang compilers, debugging tools, code analysis Using Git workflows, branching strategies, and performing code review Experience with GitHub Actions and Jenkins pipelines, automated testing, build optimization Usage of design patterns and clean code principles for modular architectures Improving quality after analyzing code coverage metrics, static code analysis reports, and peer reviews Soft skills Collaborative team member who works effectively with minimal supervision Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities Attention to detail for quality software development Effective communication of technical concepts Adaptability to evolving automotive technology requirements Excellent English in reading, writing, speaking, and understanding Nice to have Knowledge of VW.
