Job description
This role will be a key member of the Japan Commercial Operations team, working closely with Brand Managers to support marketing initiatives for assigned products. This role focuses on tactical execution and cross-functional collaboration to ensure the successful implementation of brand strategies, with a strong emphasis on close communication with global teams.
The position will primarily support activities related to innovative therapies within a specialty / rare disease portfolio.
Key Responsibilities
Reports to Marketing Director in Japan Support the Brand Manager in implementing marketing plans for assigned products Execute tactical marketing activities, including: Development of promotional materials Planning and coordination of events Build and manage relationships with Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs) in alignment with brand strategy Collaborate cross-functionally with sales, medical affairs, commercial excellence, and finance teams Maintain close communication with global marketing teams to ensure alignment on strategy and execution Support market analysis and performance monitoring in collaboration with commercial excellence Ensure all activities comply with local regulations, company policies, and SOPs Requirements Required Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, or a related field Experience in marketing or commercial operations within the pharmaceutical industry Business-level Japanese (written and verbal), with the ability to independently lead discussions in Japanese Business-level English (written and verbal), with the ability to independently lead discussions in English Willingness to travel up to 50% Strong organizational, communication, and coordination skills Team-oriented mindset with the ability to influence without formal authority Strong interest in contributing to both patient outcomes and business growth Preferred Qualifications Experience as a Medical Representative Exposure to new product launches or label expansion projects Experience working in a startup or small team environment Background in rare disease or specialty therapeutics Benefits Competitive base salary with annual performance-based bonus Comprehensive benefits package, including social insurance and allowances Hybrid working style with flexibility Generous paid leave and holiday policy Exposure to global teams and international projects Collaborative, people-focused culture with strong support for development Opportunity to contribute to rare disease / specialty therapies with meaningful patient impact
