Cann Job Function: Finance Job Subfunction: Financial Accounting and Controlling Job Description: Finance Manager London (Hybrid Working) Job overview The Finance Manager plays a critical role within the Mc. Cann London finance team, participating in the preparation, analysis, and distribution of financial reports and metrics that support strategic decision-making.
Reporting into the Head of Reporting and Compliance, this position will contribute to accuracy and timeliness of financial reporting and provide valuable support for budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning processes. The Finance Manager will work closely with various departments to consolidate financial data and contribute to the overall financial health of the organization.
Key Responsibilities
Team management Leading the Management Accounting Teams (3 employees). Motivate and lead finance team members through development of skills and training, whilst providing continued support. Conduct annual appraisals and regular check-ins for direct reports. Financial Planning & Analysis responsibilities Contribute to Preparation of Financial Pack and Forecasts for Monthly and Quarterly Financial Updates Contribute to quarterly and monthly variance analysis and commentaries submission to Omnicom Advertising Group.
Ongoing review of the P&Ls, salary and overheads reporting files. Highlight any variances to CFO and Head of Reporting. For assigned budgets, challenge budget holders on variances and forecasts, ensuring significant variances are reported to Head of Reporting. Oversee the Freelance forecast in conjunction with Management Accountant.
Reporting responsibilities Responsible for the monthly payroll reconciliation and payroll journals Overview of balance sheet reconciliations for assigned budgets and review reconciliations prepared by Omaha Controller team. Provides input to agencies Rolling Forecast as necessary Support Financial Controller with reviewing month-end results with Management Accounts Team Participation to annual Statutory Audit Schedules to ensure compliance with deadlines Participation to annual Internal Audit Schedules including team coordination to ensure compliance with deadlines.
Corporate credit card monthly reconciliation and clearance, ensuring timing submissions of expenses, management of late payments, allocations to P&L and Balance Sheet (WIP) as appropriate. Main approver of travel requests as input within the Amex Global Travel portal. Main approval responsibility of non-billable vendor invoices charges, intercompany charges and purchase orders, both internal and external.
Responsibility for maintenance of live SRS, P&L and O&G files, informing team members of updates and ensuring version control compliance. Required behaviours, experience, skills Essential: Previous experience in finance or accounting, ideally in a similar role. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Excellent attention to detail and organisational abilities. Effective communication and teamwork skills. Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.

Previous experience within an advertising network Vantage (SAP) knowledge is desirable ACCA / CIMA qualified, or working towards qualification Mc.
