Job description
The Freight Broker assumes the primary role of building long-term relationships with carriers and is the frontline relationship owner for their carrier base. The associate assigned this position will participate in carrier meetings and negotiate rates. The incumbent must be innovative and research different types of transportation services in order to have the ability to offer customers strategic capacity solutions for their transportation needs and complete these tasks.
The associate will be accountable to various metrics including margin performance, on-time delivery performance, appointment capture and accuracy and claim mitigation while respecting associates, customers, consumers and the communities that J&B serves.
