Job Summary

The HR Manager leads all human resources functions for the dealership, aligning HR strategy with business objectives to attract, develop, and retain a high-performing team, ensuring compliance, and fostering a positive, productive work environment across sales, service, parts, and admin departments.

Key Responsibilities

Strategic HR & Business Partnership: Develop and implement HR strategies supporting dealership growth, profitability, and culture. Act as a trusted advisor to leadership on HR matters, workforce planning, and organizational development. Talent Acquisition & Onboarding: Lead recruitment for sales consultants, service technicians, admin, etc.

, using social media and other channels. Manage the full recruitment cycle, from job posting to efficient onboarding and integration. Employee Relations & Culture: Address employee grievances, resolve conflicts, and manage disciplinary actions. Champion a positive, engaging culture reflective of dealership values, focusing on retention.

Performance Management & Development: Oversee performance appraisal systems that drive high performance. Identify training needs (sales, technical, soft skills) and manage development programs (L&D).

Compensation

& Benefits: Administer competitive pay plans, benefits (health, retirement), and payroll coordination. Ensure market competitiveness and internal equity. Compliance & Policy: Ensure strict compliance with all federal, state, and local labor laws . Develop, maintain, and communicate HR policies and procedures. HR Operations & Reporting: Manage HR information systems (HRIS) and maintain accurate employee records.

Analyze HR metrics (turnover, engagement, recruitment efficiency) for management reporting.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in HR, Business, or related field. Proven HR management experience, preferably in retail, automotive, or a similar high-turnover environment. Strong knowledge of employment law, compensation, benefits, and HR best practices. Skills: Excellent leadership, communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.

Ability to build relationships and influence stakeholders. Proficiency with HR software and data analysis.
