Medical Customer Care Specialist

We support individuals working toward lasting recovery from mental health and substance use disorders. Schedule: Full time Location: Austintown Position Overview: The Customer Care Specialist is the first point of contact for individuals seeking services, ensuring each interaction is handled with professionalism, compassion, and empathy.

This role supports patients on their recovery journey by answering questions, advocating for treatment, and fostering a positive client experience.

Essential Functions

Manage incoming client calls and interactions, respond to general inquiries, schedule service appointments, and obtain prior authorizations when required. Coordinate transportation services for clients. Conduct outreach regarding referrals and follow up with clients. Accurately and promptly enter applicant and medical information into the electronic medical record (EMR).

Communicate relevant client information and service updates to appropriate staff. Maintain patient-facing and work areas in a clean, organized, and welcoming condition. Safeguard protected health information and maintain confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA requirements.

Qualifications

Must be at least 18 years of age. High School Diploma or GED Successful completion of BCI/FBI background check and pre-employment drug screen. Prior experience in a medical office or clinical unit required.
