Job description

Belvoir Pet Hospital is seeking an experienced** Registered** Veterinary Technician (RVT) to join our team and help create exceptional experiences for clients and patients during exams and outpatient visits.

We are seeking an outgoing technician who thrives in client engagement, schedule coordination, and multitasking. This role is focused on exams and outpatient care because we believe credentialed technicians meaningfully elevate the quality of medicine, client education, patient advocacy, and overall hospital workflow through the education, clinical knowledge, and professional judgment they bring to every patient interaction.

In this position, you will play a critical role in identifying patient concerns, supporting efficient case management, educating clients, anticipating veterinarian needs, and ensuring a consistently high standard of care throughout the patient experience.

** Responsibilities include: **

  • Supporting efficient exam room and outpatient workflow to ensure exceptional patient and client care
  • Maintaining accurate, thorough medical records and treatment documentation
  • Reviewing treatment plans, medications, and discharge instructions with clients clearly and compassionately
  • Supporting veterinarians during outpatient procedures and treatments while advocating for high-quality patient care
  • Building positive relationships with clients through education, communication, and attentive service

Schedule and compensation:

  • Compensation: $21 - 27 per hour, for each hour worked
  • This is a ** full-time ** position with availability needed Monday-Friday, with rotating Saturdays.

Minimum qualifications and skill set:

  • 1+ years of veterinary technician experience

  • Active and good-standing Registered Veterinary Technician in the state of Ohio ******

  • Proficiency in the following skills:

  • Patient assessment, nursing care, and monitoring

  • Venipuncture and intravenous catheter placement

  • Radiology positioning and safety protocols

  • Medication administration and accurate drug calculations

  • Laboratory sample collection and in-house diagnostic testing

  • Accurate medical record documentation

  • Safe, low-stress patient handling and restraint techniques

  • Client education and communication

**Recent graduates pending VTNE testing and licensure, or out-of-state license-holders who are eligible to transfer a license, are also encouraged to apply
