Job description

Experience: 6–10 Years Employment Type: Full-Time Role Overview We are looking for a highly skilled and proactive QA Lead to lead end-to-end quality assurance strategy across web and API-based applications. The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on experience in automation testing (Playwright), performance testing, Angular frontend validation, NestJS backend validation, and API testing, along with proven leadership experience in Agile environments.

Key Responsibilities

  1. QA Leadership & Strategy
  • Define and implement overall QA strategy, test approach, and quality metrics.
  • Lead, mentor, and manage QA team members.
  • Establish test coverage standards across UI, API, and performance layers.
  • Drive shift-left testing and automation-first mindset.
  • Collaborate with Product, Engineering, and DevOps teams.
  1. Automation Testing (Playwright – Mandatory)
  • Design, develop, and maintain scalable automation frameworks using Playwright (TypeScript/JavaScript).
  • Implement CI/CD-integrated automation suites.
  • Ensure cross-browser and cross-device automation coverage.
  • Improve automation coverage, reliability, and execution speed.
  • Conduct code reviews for automation scripts.
  1. Frontend Testing (Angular)
  • Validate Angular-based web applications.
  • Test UI components, forms, routing, and state management.
  • Perform functional, regression, and integration testing.
  • Validate frontend performance, responsiveness, and usability.
  1. Backend & API Testing (NestJS)
  • Test RESTful APIs developed using NestJS.
  • Validate request/response contracts, authentication, and error handling.
  • Perform schema validation and business logic validation.
  • Use tools such as Postman or automated API frameworks.
  1. Performance Testing
  • Design and execute performance and load testing strategies.
  • Identify bottlenecks and scalability issues.
  • Work with engineering teams to improve system performance.
  • Experience with tools such as JMeter or k6.
  1. Quality Governance & Metrics
  • Define QA KPIs and quality dashboards.
  • Track defect leakage, test coverage, automation percentage, and release quality index.
  • Ensure release sign-off compliance.
  • Conduct RCA for production issues.

Required Skills

  • 6+ years in Software Testing with 2+ years in QA Lead role.
  • Strong hands-on experience in Playwright automation framework development.
  • Experience testing Angular applications.
  • Strong API testing experience (REST APIs, authentication flows).
  • Experience testing NestJS-based backend systems.
  • Experience in performance testing tools (JMeter/k6/etc.).
  • Strong understanding of CI/CD pipelines.
  • Experience in Agile/Scrum methodologies.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Key KPIs (Measurable)
  • Automation coverage ≥ 80% for critical flows.
  • Defect leakage < 5%.
  • CI automation pass rate ≥ 95%.
  • Performance baseline compliance before release.
  • Year-over-year reduction in defect density.
