Affirmed Home Care is growing its Pediatric Division and seeking a Per Diem Pediatric RN to provide clinical support and assist our full-time Pediatric RN Care Manager with the oversight of pediatric cases throughout Westchester County. Why Join Affirmed Home Care? $55–$150 per hour , based on the nursing task and assignment Flexible per diem schedule Day, evening, and weekend assignments available Primarily field-based position Growing Pediatric Division Opportunity to work with complex pediatric cases Supportive and collaborative clinical team Opportunity to utilize your specialized pediatric nursing experience Meaningful work directly supporting children and their families What You’ll Do The Per Diem Pediatric RN will provide clinical oversight and support by: Providing high-quality, individualized nursing care to pediatric clients Developing and updating individualized care plans Obtaining required physician orders in accordance with applicable regulations Monitoring clients and reporting changes in medical condition to the attending physician and Agency care team Supervising and supporting the nursing staff assigned to pediatric cases Conducting weekly nursing orientations Performing nursing competency assessments in the office or in the client’s home, as needed Providing clinical guidance to caregivers and members of the nursing team Supporting the ongoing clinical needs of pediatric clients Promoting safety, comfort, independence, and quality of life in the home Completing accurate and timely clinical documentation What We’re Looking For Education & Licensure Current New York State RN license in good standing Current BLS certification BSN preferred Minimum 2 years of recent pediatric clinical home care experience Pediatric Clinical Experience Candidates should have recent, hands-on experience with advanced pediatric nursing skills, including: Pediatric ventilator management Tracheostomy care G-tube/PEG tube care IV infusions Wound care Additional Qualifications Strong clinical assessment and documentation skills Excellent communication and organizational skills Effective time-management skills Ability to work independently in a field-based environment Experience supervising and supporting clinical staff Strong attention to detail Professional, compassionate, and client-focused approach Required Health & Immunization Documentation Candidates must provide current documentation, including: Physical examination completed within the past year PPD or QuantiFERON-TB test completed within the past year, or a chest X-ray completed within the past five years MMR immunization completed within the past 10 years Make a Difference in Pediatric Home Care If you are an experienced Pediatric RN seeking flexible per diem opportunities, competitive compensation, and the ability to use your specialized clinical expertise, we want to hear from you.
