Job description

We are looking for a ​Manufacturing Engineer​ in support to our client Fusion for Energy for their location in ​Barcelona, Spain​. The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting the development and delivery of magnetic shielding systems, contributing to both design and manufacturing activities while ensuring smooth coordination across technical and project functions.

For this position there is some flexibility regarding location, and the possibility to work remotely. This can be further discussed during the interview stage. Please note, the successful candidate will be employed by ATG Europe (or one of its subsidiaries). Furthermore, upon selection, they will be subject to a general security screening performed by an external provider (further information will be provided at interview stage).

The successful candidate will be tasked with, but not limited to: Support the design and manufacturing of the Passive Mitigation System (PMS) and the Active Correction and Compensation Coils (ACCCs); Contribute to the preparation of specifications of mechanical components of the ACCCs; Apply codes and standards to support the last stages of design; Follow up on manufacturing activities and documentation of these systems; Provide support to project management tasks as required.

If it doesn’t align completely with the essential criteria, it could result in rejection. Bachelor’s Degree in Industrial, Mechanical, Electrical, Aerospace, or Nuclear Engineering; At least 8 years of relevant work experience; Experience working with RCC-MR for manufacturing; Experience in the definition and follow-up of manufacturing of metallic components, including experience at shop floor level; Experience in assembly activities applied to large components; Availability to travel around 2 times per month (3-4 days per trip); Experience working under the ITER/F4E quality management system is an asset; Capable of working independently as well as in coordinated teams; Fluency in English, both written and spoken; Knowledge of Spanish and/or Italian is an asset; Candidates must be eligible to live and work in the EU.
