Wash Plant Fitter

MAIN PURPOSE/OBJECTIVES OF ROLE: To ensure the safe, reliable and efficient operation of the wash plant by carrying out planned maintenance, inspections, fault-finding and repairs on mechanical equipment, minimising plant downtime and maintaining production. KEY DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES: Maintain and repair wash plant machinery.

Carry out planned and breakdown maintenance. Work on conveyors, screens, pumps, crushers and feeders. Replace bearings, rollers, belts, pulleys, chains and other components. Maintain and repair hydraulic and pneumatic systems. Carry out welding and fabrication work. Fault-find mechanical problems and get machinery back into production quickly.

Assist with installation, commissioning and modification of plant equipment. Complete inspections and preventative maintenance. Work safely around heavy machinery and follow site safety procedures. Keep maintenance records and report faults or required repairs. Maintain safe working practices whilst undertaking your duties at all times To act in accordance with the company’s Health, Safety and Environmental policies, procedures and practices highlighting any issues appropriately Work flexibly and be receptive and adaptable to a changing environment within a fast-expanding Company Undertake any other reasonable tasks as directed by management This list is not an exhaustive list of duties, and you may be liable to undertake such duties as may be reasonably required of you that are within your capability.

THE IDEAL CANDIDATE: Proven experience as an Washplant Fitter Relevant mechanical or heavy plant maintenance qualifications Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills Ability to work independently and as part of a team Full UK driving licence
